Character Maxlength Question

I'm using version 7.01. I have a character field placed on the form. The
field in the database is defined as 60 characters. I can not get the
inspector maxlength to go more than 40 characters. It will accept the 60
but after I save it and go back in it is 40 characters again.

Thanks Romain,

It appears that it was an operator error. Due to my conservative ways,
developing off-line, I changed the field length in the off-line database
instead of the on-line database.
