I am having great difficulty creating a Visual dBASE program for
a video rental store...
My main problem is printing out single invoices of multiple tape
rentals such as a client renting 5 movies for 5 days...listing
each movie number and title on an invoice and printing just that
single invoice without printing out all invoices...
I have tried using fields such as RENT1, RENT2, RENT3, RENT4,
Rent5, etc. which works except then I cannot determine which
tapes are rented out and which ones aren't or calculate overdue fees...as I cannot link each field to my STOCK.DBF->STOCK_NO...
Please help...;) If it helps...even QuickBooks isn't
recommended for asset leasing businesses....lol
Thank you...;)

Hard to answer this with out more specific info; one thing I do know though,
you can't do it with the report generator. You will have to hard code it,
using a do while to process records meeting criteria such as customer ID,
and date, date retruned etc. The do while loads data for customer ID and
rental date, while an If -then-else decides on overdue fees. Once records
fall out of range of key values, it wil stop processing and print. same
process I use for receivables in my own business, as well as a little
utility program I wrote for a local bank that processes goals and
achievement. Good luck.
