Support Organic Farms. Support Colorado Agriculture. I just visited a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) Farm up by LaSalle (near Greeley, CO) called Monroe Organic Farms. They offer great deals on summer/early-fall produce and supply over 25 different types of fruits and vegetables plus some herbs--all organic! The farm has been organic since 1936. They are now selling shares for the June-through-October harvest. Shares (including membership fees) range from $150 to $450 for five months of produce. Monroe Organic Farms delivers produce to six distribution points every Tuesday, beginning with the first Tuesday in June. The distribution points are in Boulder, Louisville, Fort Collins, and three in Denver (225 and Mississippi, I-25 and Broadway, and C470 and Ken Caryl). I visited the farm and signed up with the Monroes on Saturday. As a member, I was able to pick my own organic asparagus and oregano then and there. If you're interested in incredible produce at an low price from really wonderful people, call Monroe Organic Farms. (970)-284-7941. Tell Jerry you heard about his farm on the Internet.
