http://politics.knoji.com/facts-about-the-paul-ryan-budget-proposal/

Following are some of the key points in the Paul Ryan Budget Proposal
which have been skewed for political purposes. Each American should have
the straight information from the source, and I intend to provide some
of the horsess mouth information in this article.

Spending

The Paul Ryan Plan intends to cut 6.2 trillion dollars of Federal
spending within the next ten years, which equates to 5.8 trillion in
relation to the current policy base spending.

Duplicate programs will be eliminated by systematically checking the
responsibilities of each government agency and determining whether other
groups are also addressing the same issues.

Reduce federal spending so that it is 20% lower than the GDP.

Debt and Deficits

The deficits will be reduced by 4.4 trillion over the next decade.
This will help to balance our budget by paying debts.

Lower the sustainability benchmark by balancing the budget by 2015

Create a path for the budget that will enable the federal government
to pay off debts

Taxes

By keeping taxes low, the economy will prosper. $800 billion in tax
increases will be eliminated that are being forced by the Health Care
Law of 2009.

Preventing 1.5 trillion dollar tax increase that is suggested in the
Presidents budget proposal.

Requires re-evaluation of the current tax code to simplify for
households and businesses.

Lower tax rates for all sectors of the economy; individuals, families,
and businesses

Sets top tax rates at 25% of income for all taxable parties

Growth and Jobs

By lowering taxes there will be incentive for businesses to grow and
hire new employees.

Intends to increase private-sector jobs by 2.5 million by the end of
the decade

Economic growth will increase GDP by 1.5 trillion over the decade

Encourages and enables prosperity for citizens, thus increasing tax
income for the federal government by allowing individuals and businesses
higher revenue or income, increasing the amount of tax that is able to
be collected.

Key Objectives of Paul Ryan Budget Proposal

Better environment for growth will improve job creation and business
innovation and improvement

Stop Washington from spending more than what it takes in. Reduce
economic benefit to organizations that are not working. Locks in
controls on spending at federal level.

Saving critical health and retirement programs by making appropriate
and difficult decisions to improve the benefits for those who truly need
assistance.

Defunding of the Health Care Law of 2009, patients will be attended to
instead of being administratively excluded from benefiting from paying
into the system. The patients needs come before bureaucracy.

Restore the American perception of the country that was founded over
200 years ago: to limit the size and scope of the federal government in
the operations of individual lives.

Ensure that the next generations are provided with a better country
than the one of their parents, as each parent desires for their families.

Key Components of the Paul Ryan Budget Proposal

National Security will be prioritized. Taking the $178 billion budget
cuts proposed by Defense Secretary Gates, and re-investing $100 billion
of that in military priorities. The other $78 billion will be given to
debtors to help reduce the national debt.

Reducing government agencies. Address the duplication of federal
agencies, reducing the amount of red tape, and extraneous spending that
is costing the taxpayers.

Repeal Health Care Law of 2009 and address patient-centered reform

Federal civilian workforce will be expected to work within the same
parameters of their private-sector equals in pay and benefits.

Eliminate programs that have run their course and are no longer necessary

Repair the methods for Medicaid. Provide block-grants to states to
provide health care to their citizens as is proper for each demographic.

Eliminate corporate welfare. No more bailouts to corporations who are
unable to maintain their own books.

Improving American energy resources. The country is rich in oil, oil
sands and oil shale, as well as wind, water, and coal. All are natural
resources that are not being utilized, putting an undue burden on
taxpayers, paying extreme amounts of money to foreign oil producers.

Improve scholarship programs for students. Currently there are
overlapping and confusing scholarships and other monies that are not
being distributed evenly or equitably.

Corporations will be provided with appropriate tax reform,
incentivizing job growth and innovation. Choking the corporations that
would improve American lives is choking the very reason that America was
founded and has become so prosperous in such a short time.
