For Sale: Racing Mountain Bike
I'm selling my 9 month old race bike. The following is the
rundown on all the parts. It was built up from the frame with
a custom parts pick. I raced half a mountain bike, and almost
a full cyclo-cross season on it. I take very good care of my
bike, and thus it's in good shape!
1991 Klein Rascal 20" - red to black fade paint, chrome fork
Wheels:
Mavic M231 rims 32 hole (23mm)
XT hubs - black
14/15 gauge double butted spokes
Alloy nipples - red
Nutrak/Madison Airseal tubes - presta
Smoke Compe 2.1 rear tire (kevlar)
Joe Murray Maximum 2.2 kevlar front tire
Ringle Skewers
Drivetrain:
MacMahon Titanium spindle (Klein sealed BB)
Cooks cranks - 181 length, silver w/ black spider
SR Platinum 34 and 48 chainrings
Onza 24 stainless steel granny ring
Sedis ATB Z chain
XT 12-28 casette
XT front and rear deraileurs
XT thumbshifters
Brakes:
Dia Compe 986 - black, front, canti
Suntour XC9000 SE - black, rear, canti
Scott Matheuser pads
Dia Compe SS-5 levers (the grippy drilled out ones)
Cables & Housing:
All cables are Weinman, all housing is black XT
Other:
Flite saddle - black
IRD Seatpost - black
Syncros cattleprod stem, shotgun bar, black
Control Stix bar ends - black, long/bend
Oury grips - purple
Ringle seat post quick release
XT headset - 1"
Avenir bottle cages - the lightest that don't break!
Optional:
Shimano SPD pedals - just lemme know if you're interested
The avenir bottle cages are kinda optional, I need to
find out where I can get them before I let them
go, cuz I won't touch anything else, I've broken
specialized, ringle, profiles, and others, these
are just as lite, but never break!
Scott suspension fork - um, the only way I'd sell it to
you is if you just had to have it. I now race
on Rock Shox, and had bad luck with the Scotts,
in other words, I don't want any unhappy
customers, and this bike is too killer to let
that happen.
This bike's worth about $2100 (if you bought it all mail order), so
sincere offers only please.
