I'd like to take this opportunity to publicly apologize to you, Mr. Bailey. Through implying that you were trying to sell this software in violation of an academic discount agreement, I have unfairly accused you of of what I consider a breach of moral obligation. I am sorry for any insult or defamation of character which I've caused to you. The educational discount agreement the University Bookstore uses is vague. One interpretation is that selling any item which you purchased through the discount program is forbidden. However, the agreement does not specifically, unarguably specify that you may never resell an item purchased under the agreement. To any potential buyers of Chris' program and other interested bystanders: I have no reason to believe that Chris Bailey purchased his copy of the Borland software through an educational discount program. Even if he did, there may be no restriction, implied or otherwise, which should keep him from reselling the software. If you are a full time student or member of the faculty or staff of the University of Colorado at Boulder, you are probably qual- ified to purchase Borland's software through the University Book- store at a reduced price. If you are not and want to get a copy of Borland's fine C++ compiler (I have a copy myself), I encourage you to make Chris an offer. It is truly a good deal.
