Apparently, the function keys are not programmable. However,
it has been pointed out that shells could be written with
the escape sequences(generated by the function keys) as the
shell-names. This seems rather precarious(?) to me. I have
received many 'letters' with suggestions, programs, shells,
etc. etc. Thanx for trying to help anyway.
Meanwhile, I am trying to figure out why those particular
functions are there anyway. All they do to me is lock up
the terminal until a complete terminal reset is executed.
(real handy!!!)
If anybody discovers a marvelous new escape sequence for these
'dinosaurs', please let me know. Also, good luck to all the
other victims who sent me mail.
