Just passed 12 AM here in the good ol' eastern standard time zone, and the 
world hasn't ended yet.  The computer didn't explode and the power didn't go 
out and the TV signals haven't been disrupted.  Just another midnight, but to
those of you celebrating, happy new year!  I hope that it is filled with
good fortune and increased understanding for all of us.
