Government Abuse

Hi,
I am posting a story about the deliberate and premeditated
destruction of a small business by agents of the government of
Pennsylvania.
I feel that this story is important reading for all of the would be
entrepreneurs out there who dream of being their own boss.
It is especially important that it appears here on the Internet
where it can have wide exposure and since the web seems to be littered
with all sorts of "opportunities" these days. Everything from illegal
pyramid schemes (in many disguises) to many legitimate money making
opportunities.
It really isn't that easy to start and run a business from scratch.
Don't believe all of the books out there either. They all leave out
one very important detail... if you fail at your business you will
suffer not only financial ruin and personal humiliation but you will
more than likely lose your life as well ( or at least a good portion
of it).
Actually you don't even have to fail, just have some temporary cash
flow difficulty and your life is doo doo buddy. That is the real
world.
Following is the story of what happened to me. I will be posting it
all evening in installments as I get it typed up. Hopefully it helps
someone else keep from the same fate.
I hope that it isn't the same everywhere else. Maybe it's just
Pennsylvania. You decide.

I very much empathize... It brings up a point that most people do not
recognise about being in business for themselves.

The fact is, most PEOPLE (not just governments) have this thing about
people in small businesses -- that they are mostly "cowboys" out to rip
off the public. The small businessperson is a pariah, no matter how
ethical they actually are. I've written this down in our newsletter,
which has a reasonable circulation down here, and you can access the
article thorugh our home page. It might not solve your problems, but at
least you know that you are not the only one who has similar problems.
oh, yes... I was going to bring into it how often government buraucracies
conspired against small businesses, but I didn't have enough data to
justofy it, so thank you for publicising this aspect.
