I saw a catalog, published by some people in (I think) Sebastopol, and they listed some non-NiCad rechargeable batteries. The advantages were (I think) no memory effect and more oomph per charge. I even called them on the phone to ask about the batteries, and they were most helpful. Unfortunately, I managed to lose the catalog. Does anyone out there recognize what/who I'm talking about? If you've got more info on the batteries, that would be nice, too -- I noticed that "1.5V" NiCads seem to really be 1.2 volt batteries, which might or might not be good enough for bicycle headlights and running a walkman. By the way, after looking at sci.environment, I think there's something to be said for low traffic. Thanks much, in advance, David
