Then you'd better stop eating.  A lot of plants produce pesticides
naturally.  Nicotine is the best known example, but I believe you can
also find them in potatoes and onions.  Furthermore, if you stop applying
pesticides to the outsides of plants, natural selection will result in
the plants producing more inside themselves, where they are a little
harder to wash off.

I'd recommend you do a little research on the effects of Malation, rather
than respond on the basis of gut-level fear.

If you're worried about long-term exposure, you should support the use
of Malation.  You only have to worry about the Malation for a year or
two until this outbreak is eradicated.  If we don't eradicate the med fly,
individual farmers will be using pesticides to control it perpetually.
