1)  Appologies for reitterating my demand for source again earlier this
afternoon.

2)  My source r.e. chief scientist resignation was KPFK's broadcast of
LA City Council hearings on malathion.  The station has its slant, but
to my recollection that was part of the hearing tape, so the only
effective leaning is in the fact of presentation.

3)  Does anyone know what the sterile fly generation protocol(s)
in use actually consist in?  (and specifics, e.g. reversion/failure rate,
etc.,.)  I think that we need to have this if we really want to evaluate
the use of steriles & consider such things as mate selection.          

Nonetheless, the choice of steriles & how we make them needn't be all or
nothing.  There are modes of sterility that might address some of these
difficulties if they are significant.  Obviously, we may correct our
methods, and moreover, we may vary them.  There's an ESS (both senses)
for us as well as the flies.
