Do you have INFORMATION OVERLOAD?

Do you suffer from...

           I-N-F-O-R-M-A-T-I-O-N O-V-E-R-L-O-A-D ? ? ?

If you care about your Second Amendment rights in California, and want to
learn how you can most effectively combine your efforts with others in
the defense of these rights, the internet can provide a dizzying amount
of information and direction.

Read this article, scan that alert, go to this web site, enter this
forum, join this gun group and enjoy 20 advertising banners along the way!

Of course, it's a good thing to be informed on RKBA issues, and our
movement benefits greatly from those credible resources authored by
knowledgable experts in related fields. Then, there's the "chatter" -
long on volume, short on substance. Still, it is indicative of the
kind of energy within the gun-owning community, energy that, if
harnessed, should be able to seal the fate of any gun control bill,
even in California.

But this kind of information is of little use when the actual process of
LEGISLATING is happening. Prompt, constructive input from a large number
of gun-owners can affect the path of a gun-bill in a matter of hours.
In fact, the inability of the gun-owning community to react to events
en masse and on short notice has allowed many gun bills to pass in
California.

The California NRA Members' Councils have long recognized the need
for an "RKBA Clearinghouse" for urgent legislative info - we needed
*something* that could link together the multitudes of gun-owners that care
deeply about these issues, with THE ACTUAL LEGISLATIVE EVENTS *AS THEY ARE
HAPPENING*!

Enter CAL-ERTs. "What? *Another* internet thing?" Well, this one is
different. It works like this...

Through partnership with NRA staff in Sacramento, hot, up-to-the-minute
information is forwarded to Members' Councils volunteers who then forward
it to the CAL-ERT Message System. That information is delivered to CAL-ERT
subscribers within minutes of the actual events taking place in the
legislature!

This system allows many gun-owners to be informed of what's happening
AS IT'S HAPPENING, and provides the opportunity to TAKE PART IN THE PROCESS,
by also including links to electronic tools that permit every CAL-ERT
subscriber to communicate with ONLY THOSE LEGISLATORS INVOLVED IN THAT
SPECIFIC ISSUE!

So far in 2002, the anti-gunners have tried to pass 2 bills... and WE
DEFEATED THEM BOTH, and by wide margins! See...

   http://NRAMembersCouncils.com/calerts/calert042302.shtml
   http://NRAMembersCouncils.com/legs/sb510fails.shtml

The CAL-ERT system was employed in both cases, and feedback we received
from the capitol indicated it was very effective!

It's easy, it's free and it works! AND (some think this the best part)...

CAL-ERTs won't overload you, because we NEVER send out anything but hot,
up-to-the-minute info. No articles, no web sites, no ads. IF YOU
RECEIVE A CAL-ERT, YOU KNOW SOMETHING IMPORTANT IS HAPPENING TO YOUR
GUN RIGHTS IN SACRAMENTO - it's that simple.

You can signup to receive CAL-ERTs at...

(Of course, we don't sell personal information and we ABSOLUTELY will
not share your email address with anyone for any reason.)
