Kyle --

I want to thank you for defending our good name. We are not associated with
Mike Haas in any way. He does envy
our success though and enjoys bashing any pro-gun group other than the NRA.
He did appropriate www.calnra.com in a weak effort to fool people into
thinking they reached our site www.calnra.org. BTW, I am an NRA life member.
You cannot change any organization you don't belong to.

The NRA has made some serious blunders in the past like supporting
background checks. To this day they still support them despite the fact
that to date less than 12 persons have been convicted. Millions of gun
owners have to WAIT days or weeks to purchase a firearm and hardly any
criminals are prosecuted.

Imagine this scenario. A criminal tries to buy a gun through a licensed FFL.
Through the background process they discover his criminal record. They tell
the criminal, everything is OK come and pick up your gun on monday. When
the criminal shows up, the police cuff the guy and drag him away. Why
doesn't this happen? The government says they would be hit by an avalanche
of wrongful arrest suits because their records are so bad there is a 50-50
chance they MADE A MISTAKE.
In my opinion that makes the NRA position even worse. We inconvenience
millions of gun owners with waiting periods, we don't prosecute any
criminals, and the records are so poor, the chances are they can't even
figure out who should and should not be able to purchase a firearm. YET THE
NRA SUPPORTS BACKGROUND CHECKS.

Another recent blunder was supporting Jones in California for Governor even
though my dog had a better chance of winning the primary. Simon was the man
to support, obviously. They could have simply endorsed NO ONE and come out
of it better.

So the bottom line is ALL PRO-gun groups make some errors. GOA and GOC are
more "in your face" gun groups than the NRA and certainly have their place.
Why fight among ourselves when there are so many better targets like
anti-gunners around?? Mike likes to waste people's time with his bs. Don't
take the bait! He needs the time anyway to make more videos.
