Well if we did not have enough gun laws already on the books, LA has now joined Oakland and San Francisco in banning the so-called pocket rocket. This obviously is a street term meaning any handgun that is less than 6 3/4" in length and 4 1/2" in height cannot be sold, according to the major news networks, KTLA, KNBC, KCBS, FOX et al. With crime going up in Los Angeles it would seem that the electorate is stepping on their wick. Whereas Orange County, a modest 3,000,000 people has relaxed gun ownership, the 8 million in Los Angeles County are banning gun ownership. It is also interesting to note, statewide, crime is down in Orange County whereas every other place in the state is up, dramatically in rape, car theft, burglary, armed robbery and murder. Guess the criminal has nothing to fear in LA, San Francisco and Oakland! Also on the gun front, allegedly some state or federal agency has conducted a test of the Brady Bill in five states, most noteably in Arizona, Montana, Idaho and two others using false identification and they passed the Brady Bill provisions and a firearm was released to the buyer. Does this not prove the point the bill is impotent and since it is a sunshine provision, allowed to die, no longer a federal requirement, in 2003? Food for thought! Bear
