A friend of mine decided to move to Tenn. about 4 years ago. He enjoys collecting HKs. He said that he was getting out of PRK before they ban his rifles. At the time I thought he was being just a tad paranoid. At least now in TN he can keep his SKS. As you remember folks who owned the SKS were forced to participate in a buy back. Then, because of some typical government snafu a lot of folks who didn't get their semi-auto rifles registered now find that they will be confiscated because of the actions of one stoopid individual (AG) and a liberal court. So, months ago I started saying that registration, licensing and eventual confiscation was on its way. And guess what. So, if you think it can't happen here think again. If you think that OUR government wouldn't do that, think again. And think fast. While the NRA and the GOA et al are valuable assets in our fight to maintain our liberty they can't do everything. If you want to keep your right to your firearms NOW IS THE TIME THAT WE ACT. NOW IS THE TIME THAT WE STOP THESE ELITIST LIBERALS BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. Did you notice the NRA fax alert that mentions that the anti gunners are attempting to form a grassroots effort to stop us before November? A couple of days ago I had an epiphany. That is what we MUST do NOW! I've talked to a couple of folks and they think its a good idea but thay don't think anyone will go out of their way to bother to fight the fight themselves. IT IS TIME TO STOP LETTING THE NRA FIGHT THIS BATTLE ALONE! If anyone is interested in my suggestion and thoughts on this let me know. We have to draw a line in the sand and let the polititians know that it stops here and goes no farther! So, I say put up or shut up. Lets get our shit together and stop these assholes. If we don't this is what we'll be saying before long: They came for my neighbor's automatic weapons. I didn't say anything because I didn't own one. They came for my neighbor's semi-auto rifles. I didn't own one so I didn't say anything. They came for my neighbor's shotguns. I don't own a shot gun so I didn't say anything. They came for our handguns and because I obey the law I turned them in. Then they came for our .22s and I finally decided to fight back. My .22 wasn't enough against their M60s. Never before this have I never ever thought the government would deprive us of our rights. Now I hope its not too late to do something about it. Therefore, I think we need to do 2 things. 1) Stop letting the NRA do all our fighting for us, we must organize NOW (ask me how) and; 2) Listen to Charlton Heston when he says this election in November must be a single issue election for us. It doesn't matter where a polititian stands on any other issue. The only issue that means a damn to us is the gun control issue or rather the freedom issue. The freedom do keep and bear arms. That's it. Nothing else matters. So, I say again, put up or shut up. We must tell the polititians that "WE'RE MAD AS HELL AND WE AREN'T GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!" Any questions?
