Unfortunately, Brian Puckett of "Citizens of America" may have done immeasurable damage to our efforts in California, by claiming that the perpetration of violence against duly-elected officials one disagrees with is both "perfectly understandable" and "absolutely logical". (LA Times, 4/18/2002)>> Anyone who knows Mike knows that he is an NRA apologist. If any NRA official stopped abruptly, Mike and his brown nose would disappear into their posterior. He is one of those folks who keep telling us about those marvelous NRA "Victories" in CA with the phrase "it could have been worse." Inch by inch our rights are eroding and we are told "it could have been worse." He is already making excuses if the .50 cal ban passes.....it was Brian Puckett's fault.... I believe that while Brian's comments are viewed by some as extreme today, they resemble those made by Patrick Henry and Thomas Jefferson. Since Mike has so much free time to bash other 2nd Amendment groups (including mine www.calnra.org) perhaps he can take a moment to get educated by reading a history book. I think it is fair to say that we all want a peaceful resolution to the many depredations imposed on gun owners in CA. However, if that is going to happen, the vast majority of freedom freeloaders have to get activated. It is entirely unrealistic to think that people who are too lazy to register to vote, too lazy to help pro-gun candidates get elected, too lazy to write a letter once a year to their reps, too foolish not to join a pro-gun organization (80 million gun owners, 4 million NRA members), will take up arms against their country. They won't even take up a telephone to call their reps. to protest ab-2222! Sam A. Mike claims he didn't *sale* it to HCI so maybe it was a gift to them like most of his rants.>> Yes, Mike allegedly was the one who taped the NRA annual meeting that mysteriously ended up on national TV. As far as I know, he never suffered any consequences. Since he has been party to so many blunders like supporting Jones for Governor rather than Simon perhaps he can recognise a mistake when he sees one ...Sneer.... Jim .
