Please, let's keep the cross posting down please. Alt.support.sleep-disorder had quite a
thread going late last year about someone in a similar situation, as we have people from
all over the world in a.s.s-d who may not be interested in this because they are on a
completely different continent, could all replies be directed to the California groups?

You may be able to find parts of the a.s.s-d discussions in what is currently available
through Google:
http://groups.google.com/groups?oi=djq&as_ugroup=alt.support.sleep-disorder
Threads I see available are the ones headed:
Subject: The DMV Will Take your License
Subject: Say nothing about DRIVING problems
Subject: OSA and the DMV
All of these threads were started by bull mastiff (Spam_angrybull@earthlink.net), mid to
late September.

FWIW, Canada has a similar system, Doctors must report newly diagnosed patients and
driving privileges are with held until the patient is compliant with the treatment. *You*
may not drive when you are tired, *you* may be alert while driving, but the sad truth is
that *many* apnea sufferers fail to stop driving when they are falling asleep at the wheel
(similar to someone who has one to many alcoholic drinks and still states she is perfectly
fine to drive).

For everyone else reading this who is not familiar with apnea, I'd like to additionally
state that because of the sleep deprivation that comes from having sleep apnea, because of
the drop in Oxygen in the blood that comes with sleep apnea, it affects mood as one of the
symptoms. This can range from Depression, to Anxiety, to Irritability, to Paranoia. And
yes, I would say that road rage is more likely in someone with those symptoms.

Alt.support.sleep-disorder had quite a thread going late last year about someone in a
similar situation, too bad the Deja archive is mostly unavailable, I don't remember
exactly when the thread started, but you may be able to find parts of it in what is
currently available through Google:
http://groups.google.com/groups?oi=djq&as_ugroup=alt.support.sleep-disorder
Threads I see partially available are the ones headed:
Subject: The DMV Will Take your License
Subject: Say nothing about DRIVING problems
Subject: OSA and the DMV
All of these threads were started by bull mastiff (Spam_angrybull@earthlink.net), mid to
late September.
