Not my recommendation. Sleep Apnea can become a life threatening illness if left untreated for too long. You risk: Enlarged Heart Irregular Heartbeats High Blood Pressure Increase Risk of Stroke Increased risk of Heart Disease Depression, Anxiety, Irritability (can we all say "Road Rage"? Good, I knew you could) or other mood disturbances An added complication to other illnesses and their treatment. As far as how Sleep Apnea compares to Drunk Driving I offer this link to an article placed on the Web by Dr. K. Leon White, M.D., entitled "A Comparative Model: Reaction Time Performance in Sleep-Disordered Breathing Versus Alcohol-Impaired Controls," written by Nelson B. Powell, MD; Robert W. Riley, MD; Kenneth B. Schechtman, PhD; Marc B. Blumen, MD; David F. Dinges, PhD; Christian Guilleminault, MD (Published in The Laryngoscope 1999; volume109: 1648-1654). I quote part of the summary of the article: "What they found has already gained some media publicity, so should come as no surprise: people with sleep disordered breathing responded more slowly than those intoxicated with alcohol." Use the facts presented in the article and elsewhere to come to your own conclusions on if the DMV is justified or not. -- Magesteff - "The important thing is not to stop questioning.
