Question about Fresno

I'm visiting Fresno in a couple of weeks and I need to ask a few
questions which I'm not sure the Fresno Tourism office would answer
truthfully.  If someone from Fresno reads this, and could mail me back
I'd appreciate it.

My question is this:  I have heard there are "good" and "bad" areas in
Fresno.  Is this true and if so, where are the "bad" areas so I won't
pick a hotel in one of them?

The addresses of the thre hotels I'm considering are:

324 E Shaw Ave
6906 N. Blackstone
445 N. Parkway (Highway 99)
