What's worse is that the areas that are getting the huge rains are the
very areas with (almost) no reservoirs.  The Los Angeles "River" is
paved -- it all goes straight out into the ocean.  Up north that kind
of rain would fill up our reservoirs.

Ah, but that doesn't mean they were wrong!  They said there was a 70%
chance of rain, which means 30% chance of no rain, right?  If it rained
every time they said "70% chance of rain", there'd be something wrong
with the forecasting.
