A lot of these "guaranteed gift" promotions also use a clever little trick. They may advertize that you are guaranteed to win one of these four gifts, including a "hawaii vacation" or some such vacation. But, they don't say "a trip to hawaii". Instead, what you win in this case is a certificate worth a few nights in a sleazy motel, with NO TRANSPORTATION. Look very carefully again at the promotional material and see if they are advertizing a "trip" or a "vacation". They can easily give away one car, two wide-screen tv's, and 5,000 useless certificates to sell off their condos, and the 5,000 certificate winners have ended up wasting a lot of time. Ask yourself... Why do they need to try so hard to sell these condos? If they were something good, wouldn't they have customers coming to them instead of them bribing potential customers? There's no such thing as a free lunch... Brian Kell, California native Department of Computer Science The University at Albany / State University of New York brian@isadora.albany.edu
