                        Aerospike Rocket Engines

                 Thursday, 18 May 1995, 6:30-8:30 pm

Canoga Main #1 Conference Room (Executive Conference Room)

Rocketdyne Building 1, Canoga Park, CA

Presented by John Vilja, Manager, Advanced Programs

With the current activities in Single-Stage-to-Orbit launch vehicles, there
is renewed interest in the technology of the "Aerospike" engine developed
by Rocketdyne in the 1960's which they originally proposed for the Space
Shuttle propulsion system. Due to that interest, this event is
co-sponsored by the San Fernando Valley Section of the American Institute
of Aeronautics and
Astronautics (AIAA), and will be open to the public. First come, first
serve seating.

Contact the AIAA Western Regional office at (800) 683-AIAA or (310) 643-7510
by COB Wednesday, 17 May 1995 to arrange visitor's badges for the
Rocketdyne building. Technical details about the seminar may be obtained
from Tim Hanneman at Rocketdyne at (818) 586-6722.
