Thanks, Lance, for your reason here. I have heard of individuals who are
working within the current military establishment in order to equip themselves
just as you are suggesting. And it is based upon the same kind of thinking --
although not as succinctly put, though. And, I believe, this is well within
inking that this amendment
would allow the people to be armed well enough to overthrow the government when
needed. I am sure that they were smart enough to realize that once a
government (in their case, England) was becoming corrupt enough to pull
something that they would need to be overthrown for, that the kind of weapons
needed to do the job would be substantial.

Yes, I am sure that they didn't know about atomic based weapons. So what.
y a town from
so far away that nothing that they (the colonists) had would get at it. What's
the difference? Not much.

And, just in case someone is wondering, <IF> some kind of atomic based weapon
was needed to defend ourselves from the tyranny of Washington D.C., then I
<WOULD> support the common man owning it! That is part and parcel to all of
the other rights that our Constitution used to guarantee to us.

And, just in case anyone really cares, I own no weapons. (if you have no
e current toilet-bowl of corruption that we are forced to
call our government, then you can feel free to come by and look for yourself --
in fact, I encourage it -- that way when the BATF/FBI/CIA/SS tries to say
otherwise, then there will be tons of witnesses who will <KNOW> the truth)
