Just move in to my parents old home and found that once a week when the water softener does a backwash, the shower in the bathroom in the middle of the house would flood. Not sure how often it does a backwash since I am new to this equipment. Can I just let the backwash flow out to my lawn instead? or can I reduce the speed of the backwash so it would allow it to drain a bit slower? Please reply to this thread.
