As you know we have a FAQ Wiki http://cam.misc.org.uk and you can post
recommendations there using the Keir Finlow-Bates' "+/-" scoring system.
Latterly I've provided a mechanism to made it easy for you to make those
into links to the original postings and encouraged people to do so. See

   http://cam.misc.org.uk/wiki/recommendations

for an explanation of how to do that.

I am getting fed up of people, often not cam.* posters, posting there
and me wasting time trying to track down if the "+/-" added relate to
real postings so from today I've updated the text so rather than saying

"If you have the time please make each "+" and "-" a hyperlink"

it now says

"Please make each "+" and "-" a hyperlink"

and at the bottom it goes on to explain

"N.B. if you don't make the "+" and "-" a hyperlink leaving the Wiki
owner scratching about trying to find your original posting in the
cam.* groups it is far more likely to be removed."

I hope that's self explanatory.

As for "spica", who updated http://cam.misc.org.uk/oddjob today: as you
used a throwaway email address to register I can't email you to tell you
I've reversed out the change you made as I don't believe you've posted
the dis-recommendation on cam.*
