Yep, but we obviously get messages from as far away as Alberta.

That's true. The "Maritime Union" discussions have actually been
going on since the '60s and we here just call it that by force of
habit. Your premier has been invited to sit at recent meetings of the
Council of Maritime Premiers but he, I think, has objected to being
included as a full member of the Council, although I'm sure the others
would be happy to have him.

>So, f--k you all about concerning yourselves about the "3" provinces.

Maybe it's that attitude that keeps you feeling left out, not as a
Newfoundlander, but as an obnoxious Atlantic Canadian. Do you really
need the salty language to make your point?

>You might say NFLD has no economy but what about P.E.I.?

Well, none of us down here are in particularly great shape. I think
the exclusion of Newfoundland has nothing whatsoever to do with its
economy as much as it has a more historical basis. It's history and
geography which have caused Newfoundland to develop at its own pace
different from the other Atlantic Provinces. I, for one, think it's
essential to have Newfoundland part of the picture from the start of
whatever is going to be worked out for us all. I would favour making
Newfoundland an "official" Maritime province, or switching the name of
the thread to "Atlantic" Union (which is what I prefer to call it
anyway).

>Please expand your intellectualism, or don't bother.

If you don't like what's here, don't try and make us stop writing.
The problem seems to be on your end. Maybe you're reading the wrong
groups. If you think we should be over on can.maritimes.union or some
other group then maybe you should start one up for us.

Of course then someody would come along and wonder why Newfoundland
was being left out.

Sometimes, you just can't win.

If you want to be included in Atlantic Union or Maritime Union, don't
get mad at us. Call your premier and tell him.

>I am proud of being a NFLDer.

You have very reason to be.
