	Hi all,

I just wanted to post this for information's sake. And to all the
people who responded with ideas, locations, recipes, suggestions on
finding/making barley toys. Thank you!!
I found barley toys!! My husband saw an ad in
the newspaper for a specialty (Maritime) store thats sells seafood and
Maritime groceries, including barley toys (marketed by Robertson's as
clear toys) and ribbon candy. $2.99 for a bag of 12-13. Some on sticks,
some loose.
As someone told me, they are sometimes called clear toys and
that's how Robertson's (of NS, Canada) are marketing them. So if you
went looking for barley toys, you wouldn't find them unless you knew
they are now called clear toys.
At the store, they gave me a newspaper called "East
Coast Connection". And it has lots of stores listed that cater to
Maritime stuff. :) These were all stores in the Greater T.O. area.
(from Hamilton and St Catharines all the way to Oshawa, one in Ottawa too).
If you would like name/address/phone, etc of stores, please email me with
where you are and I can tell you the closest one (or 2 or 5 ) :)
My husband and my 2 girls had never had barley toys and we opened
the pkg yesterday and they all loved them!! Now my husband knows and
appreciates my zeal in looking for them He said I looked like I was going
to cry with joy when he told me about the ad in the paper! This will
definitely become a Christmas tradition in my family, just like it was
when I was little!!

	Thanks again for everyone's help!!

	...Lisa
