Does anyone know of a decent Canadian life insurance company that doesn't
exclude pilots? Emphasis here on the word Canadian. There appears to be a
good selection in the US but not much here in Canada.

Jim,

I'm currently in this quandry too. There's a slight possibility I may
actually get one to approve me because I'm a non-smoker and *almost* dry
;-). If that happens, I'll post details (I'm sure they'll appreciate it). If
not, they're not getting any press from me.

I've had good luck with Clarica for about 25 years. I'm an occasional
private pilot who also flies as crew in experimental fixed wing and
helicopters from time to time. I had to fill in a questionnaire describing
my flying, but apparently there was no rate increase for my type of flying.

I'm told they do charge extra for homebuilts, ultralights, hang gliding and
skydiving.

SunLife said they're insure me, as long as I wasn't the pilot. They made
great noise about how wonderful they were to allow me to sit in the cabin.
