Hi there,
You may remember me from early last week when I posted
an announcement about the web site of Vancouver's
Music West conference (May 2-5, '96). Now I'm back with an offer/request:
You can help shape the conference. We need your input! We
don't care who you are or where you live, if you have
any creative ideas, we'd love to hear from ya!
Here's what you do to get to our Conference programming
page: Go to the Music West '96 Home Page as you normally would,
at: http://www.musicwest.com/MW/index.html
Then, depending on how fancy your machine is, you either get
to click on the nifty rotating mulitimedia image at the very
top of the page, or click on the 'conference' button on the
toolbar. Either of these will take you to the prog96.html page,
which is updated daily with more impressive conference topics
and panelists.
This is where your job comes in... Tell us what/who you'd like
to see, or what you have seen elsewhere and think would work for
us too. Tell us if our existing ideas suck. Tell us anything.
Your opinion matters!
So far we have panels scheduled on everything from life as an indie
band to life as a major label band, to the relationship between
the two, to how to market yourself in the proverbial 'info. age'
(how you too can have nifty rotating logos on your very own
mediactive web page :))... songwriting...radio...recording...etc. etc.
So... all you music fans, bands, biz people... anyone out there who
would like to have their say... each conference topic has a comment
button you can click to tell us what you think. Do it! Thanx.
