Steve Tjiang's hypothesis that corporations contribute little to
Canadian federal revenues was correct (though the portion is 13%, not 9%).
Following is a breakdown of federal revenues for the year ended
31 March 1981, obtained from Statistics Canada
(I've rounded amounts to the nearest $10**9).
TAX REVENUES
Personal $21
Corporation 8
Consumption (e.g. fuel tax) 11
Health & Social Insurance (e.g. CPP) 6
Misc. 3
---
TOTAL TAX REVENUES $49
OTHER REVENUE 9
---
Gross General Revenue $58
