I think you ought to give us a clue as to the benevolent dictatorship you
are referring to.     Nevertheless I take your point.     Most people just
want to get along and not upset anyone else.    Freedom usually means
responsibility and they would rather take orders than give orders.    It is
is only the 5% (the awkward squad) who find such regimes unliveable.
