Well he did, so give him a little credit. He is one of those lame brains who thinks that he can > win an argument by discrediting the knowledge of others rather than providing > information himself. That's the way he came across to me and why I replied the way I did. Bait and switch is a type of fraud with numerous variations. Well it's not exactly bait and switch, the did deliver unlimited access as they originally advertised. I don't think that they ever said they would be able to do that for ever. I won't however get into a pedantic argument about what to call the action Bell is now taking, except to say I think it sucks. I did get a comment from them regarding the original post in this thread which I sent them. This is what they said; _______________________________________________________________________________ Dear Carter, Thank you for writing. The posting in your email is referring to a change in Bell Canada's High Speed Edition (HSE) Internet Service. Bell's HSE, is available to Ontario and Quebec residents and is not offered to other provinces. Your Aliant High Speed Internet service is not affected by this change. _________________________________________________________________________________ I take it then that the rate change is real, they didn't mention the limitation on downloading. Does anyone know exactly what the rate change is, like how much is it now in Ontario and Quebec and what is the increase. I need to know because if this goes ahead I think it will only be a matter of time before it affects other provinces as well. Carter
