Today's mass demonstration... "...Student debt sentence..." My question is as follows: Why people study even though they don't have money ? (i.e. bankrupt etc...) If they say student debt is sentence, I don't understand why they are choosing to get the sentence by themselves. It's like going to jail by oneself [by doing wrong thing] intensionally and then complain that he is in jail... -- no make senses. Actually it's funny when you think about it. I like to study a lot of things by myself and if I don't have money, I am not in the university in first place, despite of my grade etc. since there is no available scholarship in my home country and not readily available to international students in Canada. If they can't or don't want to study by themselves, it's their fault. I obtained a lot of skills and certificates (i.e. licenses) through self-study with textbooks etc. There are a lot of things one can do without going to school, university or wherever takes your $$ and evaluates your skills. http://www.radiotelephone.net/masataka.htm There are a lot of other things you can put on your resume. ===== I am a Canada's first and youngest [in 1997-1998, as far as in my knowledge] radio operator for all purposes (amateur, air, land, marine). I have a lot of other things that qualify me for Canada's first and youngest... or else world's first and youngest... and these are done by myself... not just by going to university and graduate... like what others do. Well... one another example... I am trying to get a gyroplane (airship) license now and once I get it, this makes me the youngest gyroplane operator in Canada since I see there is no licensee under the age of 20 (and if there is no licensee in the world, i will be the youngest in the world !). I am also planning to complete a world-wide non stop flight (as well as non-stop Canada continent flight prior) either by balloon or gyroplane. I am sure I will be putting these in my resume once I achieve my dreams... and it may be more valuable (I am sure it is) than just putting "B.Sc. McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada." At least it's much better than just studying and paying the tuition to the institution of myths (http://www.radiotelephone.net/mcgill/myth.htm). Anyway... this is just aside. ===== Most of people in Canada ,in fact, don't go to university. Moreover, most of people in Canada are happy with their lives (i.e. quality of life). By combining these issues and today's demonstration, it is clear that "the university education" itself doesn't make one happy... but again... it is one's fault if he chooses the wrong way... (i.e. bankrupt by going to the university)... and not being able to be competitive by just putting "B.A. ----- University... " If I am an employer, I reject the applicants who put "Ph.D... etc.etc." who are just same people outthere... having no special interests nor special skills.
