Maude Barlow will be speaking at the Brilliant Cultural Center in Castlegar
at 7:30 pm, September 19, 1998.

Political activist, author, and policy critic, Maude has taken a lead role
in speaking out against the MAI and the impact globalization is having on
Canadian sovreignty and our tradition of health and social services.  Maude
is the Volunteer National Chairperson of the Council of Canadians, a
non-partisan public interest organization with over 100,000 members.

Admission is $10, or by donation for those with a low income.  Tickets are
available at all Selkirk College Continuing Education Offices or at the
door.

Sponsored by Selkirk College in conjunction with the Council of Canadians.
