[As proof that it is time to move on on this subject I inadvertently sent
this note which was intended as a CIPS-L note as a reply to a personal
communication so I am going ahead and resending the substance to the list]

signal to me and others that (for many different reasons) people are ready
(maybe way past ready) to move on and give this issue a rest and that is
what I intend to do. Unless my determination fails me this will be my last
posting on this list on this subject.

an end. I am pleased with the thrust of the message received from Kewal that
was sent to individual members. I really hope that the board can convey a
genuine regret that this whole situation occurred and send a genuine
message of reconciliation to those who feel "rejected"or "disenfranchised"
by the vote .. in my view [there] needs to be a focussed and concentrated
effort to go after each & every one of those members and deal with them as
individuals.(There is a major role for the Regional directors
>here and I think it comes with the territory of them having accepted this
>role). I believe that each one [of those who feel CIPS have let them down]
has their own issues and concerns and any attempt to lump into a category
will fail. Even an effort like the one I suggest may have a low success
rate but I believe it is essential that it be done.

and [answering the question whether] the board [has] learned anything from
this -- despite the support in the vote will they accept that they are 100%
accountable [for the situation] and will they take genuine, positive action
to make the changes that would prevent this from ever happening again?

feels so inclined but as mentioned I think it is time for CIPS-L to "give it
a rest"
