I am glad to see the concern expressed in protecting our trade marks - CIPS. It was expressed by one member that CIPS should have registered the domain cips.com. I too think that it is sad that when those who registered CIPS.CA they did not register CIPS.COM. But I guess we are all prone to missing things even when it is areas of our own expertise. No sense crying over "spilt milk" as it were or worrying about some conspiracy. Better that we learn and try not to make the same mistake again. This then baits the question - Are there any other domain names (i.e. CIPS.xx) which we should consider registering? I am not an Internet guru and thought that there are those here who can provide valuable comment. So thanks in advance. Ken Metcalfe, I.S.P. CIPS National Secretary/Treasurer
