When I left Canada 8 years ago, CIPS was on a drive to promote certifications. I presume CIPS has achieved this, how has industry responded. Is CIPS certification actually worthwhile? Has it achieved significant industry recognition? Ken Light Kelowna, BC

I think that promotion of the I.S.P. designation is ongoing. It is recognized in Ontario, Alberta and BC I think, but presumably the goal is for national coverage. As for industry acceptance it's gotta be a notch or two higher than M.C.S.E.!!
