You are a design engineer working for a company, MobilAids, which
manufactures a number of mechanical devices to aid
physically-challenged people. The marketing department has determined
that a greater share of the wheelchair market could be secured if your
wheelchairs were equipped with devices that would allow
"curb-hopping". Your supervisor, Mr. X. Smith, has given you the
following problem statement: "Design a small ramp structure
that can be attached to a standard wheelchair and used to mount small
curbs." He has also required that you file a design report just prior
to construction and testing of the first prototype.
Review and rework the group exercises that you have worked on in
the design labs over the past few weeks (goal-setting,
problem-mapping, setting criteria and constraints, project planning,
identifying information needs, brainstorming, categorizing, use of a
weighted-criteria decision matrix). In reviewing these exercises you
may make different assumptions than your group did. You will end up
choosing one design possibility and developing it in detail. Both the
final design and the path that led to this design should be described
in your report.

I need your ideas on designing a wheelchair struture above, please
help me before monday night.
Thank you so very much on your help!!!
Jonathan.
