But we regularly get attendees from Kitchener-Waterloo (about 45 minutes
to an hour's drive west of Toronto), and we have had attendees from
Vancouver (okay, so I doubt they flew to Toronto just to go to UU :-) ),
so there are times people out-of-town would be interested.

As far as I know (old-timers, correct me if I'm wrong), this newsgroup is
available for all user groups coast-to-coast (or at least the Unix ones
affiliated with UniForum Canada) to post meeting announcements.  If I was
out west on business and knew the local group was meeting that night, and
had bugger all else to do in the evening (like many hackers, I'm not into
the nightclub scene), I'd probably attend.

In the meantime, it's nice to know that there are more of "us" out there
ad mare usque ad mare, and not just in the Toronto-Ottawa-KW triangle.

So long as each group has a unique name or location in the meeting
announcement subject lines (and so long as bandwidth usage is minimal),
implementing a kill file should be trivial.
