Before iStar's takeover,  Wimsey was my ISP and I have been a very
happy surfer with them for almost three years - they had everything a
good ISP has : accessible technical support both in human form and
electronic forms; owners that REALLY cared about their clients and the
best newserver in town. The in-house forum or newsgroup was
well-participated, including the technical people as well as the
owners. 

Services deteriorated RAPIDLY once iStar took over, to the point that
I reluctantly left Wimsey. Smart move that I did not take their
invitation to join iStar, it just didn't feel right at the time. I
thought about joining Mindlink, but am glad that I didn't.

Intergate is ok, but not a "Wimsey." Their newsserver is kind of weak.
I am still searching, and would like to hear from all of you.
