Job Title:SR. DBA
Job Location:Chicago Area

TECHNISOURCE has the following opportunity out of its Willowbrook; Chicago
office.

Requirement Number for Reference: 		CH90052


Skill Set Required:
BS or BA in Business or Information Systems, or equivalent.
6 years of experience in data and/or database administration (DBA).
Strong Mainframe and Client/Server relational database management systems
experience:
DB2 is required, Red Brick (sometimes seen as RedBrick) is a plus.
Data warehousing and decision support experience is imperative.
Middleware experience is helpful.

Must be familiar with Data Transformation, Data Modeling and Data Mining.

Key is SR. DBA experience as well as DB2 knowledge or similar DB management
tools.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Candidate will evaluate, install, implement, and maintain database management
systems and tools such as Red Brick (Redbrick), DB2, Omegamon/DB2, etc.  Will
be leading projects that require cross-discipline participation and
implementing DBMS's.  Evaluate and acquire support tools in such area as data
modeling and data transformation. Provide data and data administration
support, ensure the integration of data and DB availability into the business
recovery plan.  Person will be responsible for the physical DB design and
developing logical DB design with the application team.  Lastly, the person
will define performance metrics and develop a strategy for incorporating
configuration requirements and performance service levels into the data
management architecture.
