Opens a few problems...
If a cyclists is not wearing a helmet and breaks his/her arm...
Ok so that is not a head injury so it will be covered.
What if they break a jaw ?
Well its a head injury, but would a helmet stop that type of injury

If you have private medical insurance, would that be invalidated?

On a similar note...
In Saturdays Sydney Morning Herald Motoring section there was a note by the
editor (Peter McKay?) about helmet usage. He commented that he feels the
police should crack down on non-helmet wearers, since it was for their
own good.
Id rather seem him make a comment about road conditions that affact
cyclists (gee that could take a few pages) and driving habits of cars.
Or maybe pushing for some advertising to make motorists aware of cyclists.

I think I will write him a letter...
