The Capital District chapter of the Interfaith Alliance of NYS
conducted a Civility Pledge Campaign in 1998. Candidates for public
office were asked to refrain from personal attacks and mudslinging.
Find out about the Pledge - who signed and who didn't - by checking
out the online headquarters for the Pledge at:

Of the 100+ candidates who were contacted, more than half signed
the pledge! What do *you* think? Send email to tianys@crisny.org!

The Interfaith Alliance is a coalition of people of all faiths who
are committed to the positive role of religion as a healing and
constructive force in public life.
