Personally, I'd strongly reccomend banking at Trustco. Trustco has a 
policy of not charging for checking accounts whose average balance 
remains 250.00 or higher. Their Passbook Savings accounts pay an 
interest rate of 3.5 or 4% (I'm not exactly sure of which). I've used 
Trustco for about three years. Also, Interest is paid on checking 
accounts whose average balance is 250.00 (or more) at the rate of 1.5%. 
And, no, I do not work for Trustco; I'm just a very satasfied customer.
