The Times Union, the Albany newspaper, is researching a story for its
weekly *pluggedin@tu* tech section about whether people truly use online
services and other computer resources as a PRIMARY news source.
The suspicion is that for general news, it's simpler to read a
newspaper, turn on CNN or the radio, etc., rather than booting up, signing
on and searching -- except for more specialized information not readily
available in mainstream media.
Then again, maybe the times they really are a-changin' and more
people are willing to go looking online for what they want.
If you have some pertinent comments, please e-mail them (with your
real-life name and hometown for verification purposes) to
TUnewsroom@aol.com. We're looking for as wide a group of opinions as
possible.
