The topic of this month's Upstate NY UNIX User's Group meeting will be "X-Sarte, a system monitoring tool." This is a tool which allows detailed monitoring of system load and performance, for administration or capacity planning. The meeting will start at 7:30pm at Tim Computers on Central Ave in Colonie. Directions to TIM Computer Systems: For anyone coming from WAY out of town, the Northway (I87) intersects the NY State Thruway at Thruway exit 24, and Tim is North of exit 24. The Central Ave west exit is about a mile north of the intersection at exit 24. Start on Central Ave in Colonie at I87 (aka the Northway) and go west. About 3/4 mile after the Northway you will see a fire station and _Artists for Mental Health_ on the right just before the light, and _Lake Electronics_ and _The Butcher Block_ on your left (South side of Central Ave). By the Butcher Block, at the light, turn left onto Jupiter Lane, which goes south only (the northbound street has another name). Follow Jupiter La for about 200 feet, and take a left on Walker Way. Look for a "Clark Industrial Park" sign. Stay on the road for about three tenths of a mile, while it makes a gradual 90 degree right bend. Turn left again onto Fritz Blvd, which has a regular street sign. Tim is the second building on the left, at the far end of the building with the Overhead Door big green awning. From Schenectady or anywhere else west, follow Central Ave (Rt 5) east, past Rt 155 (Karner Rd). Press on for a few miles until you see _Lake Electronics_ on your right. Turn right into the street at the light one building past Lake which is Jupiter Lane. Now follow the directions in the preceeding paragraph from there. The map will be available on the web for the faint of heart. http://pages.prodigy.net/billd/UNYUUG in the current home page. -- bill davidsen <davidsen@tmr.com> CTO, TMR Associates, Inc Doing interesting things with little computers since 1979.
