The Capital District Chapter of the New York Forest Owners Association
will be sponsoring a woodswalk at a member's forest in Leeds, Greene
County, on Sunday, June 27 at 2:30 pm.  Wear comfortable hiking shoes for
a walk through the woods, rain or shine.

Join Mike Greason, Consulting Forester, as he shows a timber sale of oak
and a white pine thinning conducted in this woodlot.  The sale area
surrounds the landowner's homestead.  This walk will demonstrate that
long-term aesthetic value can be increased while still earning an income.

Directions to the site:  From Leeds, take Green Lake Road north.  Turn
left onto Sandy Plains Road.  The driveway is on the right.  You'll see
NYFOA signs pointing to the mile-long driveway.  The driveway is just
before the Potic Creek.
