There was a time when people said that electricity was a luxury, when
telephone service was a luxury. I spent more in internet connection
and services than I did in any other utility... to me its necessary
and worth what I was paying.

Its less about not having Road Runner than it is a company exterting
undue control over its customers. I won't allow Niagra Mohawk to tell
me what appliances I can and should use, I won't allow the gas station
on the corner to tell me what kind of car I should be driving, I won't
allow the phone company to tell me who I can and cannot speak to...
why should anyone assume that a cable company has that right?
