Since the ones currently existing get little use, I'm not sure I'd plan getting rich doing this. | What type of services would people want besides news and email? | (ftp, telnet, irc, etc?) Are you talking about public access unix or internet access? I'm not sure there's a market for either, but one doesn't imply the other. | What do people think would be reasonable rates? | (world.std.com is $20/month for 2hours/day) I couldn't get people to pay $20/year, which is why I don't offer net access any more, and make news/mail free. If you can't cover the cost of business lines, make it free and use cheap residential lines. There are so many schools offering access to students, teachers, lecturers, etc, that the market just doesn't seem to be there.
